WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.
Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The
item upgrader mod upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher
item level Upgrade level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool using the help of The button will display the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests used. After an
Best item upgrader has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Item upgraders can be found in many places, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item level will be less expensive, even in the event that they are part of an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on gear of a specific rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an
item upgrading upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another significant modification is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, that will be able to avail the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
